This past weekend we attended this co-sponsored event between the American Indian Museum, and LJI.
A talk by Rudy Gonzalez, son of Corky Gonzales and Geraldine Gonzales, honoring Corky and the Chicano Movement from the eyes and experiences of Corky’s son Rudy. Rudy also discussed the relevance of Yo Soy Joaquin in today’s political turbulence and attempted erasure. The event began at the exact time and day Corky transitioned from this world.
